Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the
storm. He said:
Brace yourself like
a man;
I
will question you,
and you shall
answer me.
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! …
“Have you entered the storehouses of the snow
or seen the
storehouses of the hail,
which I reserve for times of trouble,
for days of war and
battle?
What is the way to the place where the lightning
is dispersed,
or the place where the
east winds are scattered over the earth?
Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain,
and a path for the
thunderstorm, ...
Who has the wisdom to count the clouds?
Who can tip over the water jars of the heavens
when the dust becomes hard
and the clods of earth stick together? [READ JOB

2017 is a year of great upheavals. It could all be passed over
as simply Nature "correcting itself" or society grappling with
conflicts in the process of its development. One thing is certain, however;
something is afoot. Hurricane Harvey is now described as the
"costliest, deadliest in US history;" Hurricane Irma as
"one of the most powerful in history;" Wildfires in the Western
US as "one of the worst in U.S. history in land burned."
On August 21 a belt of total eclipse run northwest-southeast of
US between 10:15 am [PT] and 2:36 pm [ET]. It was said a "phenomenon
like this, in which the eclipse barrels across the entire continental United
States, hasn’t happened in 99 years." Millions looked up. Marveling.
Wondering. It is a reasonable default position to be in. We've spent enough
time marveling at our strength and wisdom. How about giving a chance to the
Christ who calmed the raging seas and brought peace to a fearful heart and
mind?
